After a very thorough paddling, Gilda is sent to the showers where the rest of the team is washing up.

 Mr Spruce wanted the gym cleared for an upcoming assembly. Gilda wanted to practice her setting and told him to fuck off. That was a bad choice.

 As soon as Spike gets home, his mother takes one look at him and the state of his fanciest clothes and  immediately  hauls him up to take a bath. When she's done scrubbing him clean, she drags him across her knee to introduce the hard wooden surface of a bathbrush to his still-wet backside.
