Beware the Hidings of March!

 The cost of goofing around when Pip is supposed to be getting a punishment. What's worse than Saturday school detention? Getting paddled and having to spend the rest of the morning in jeans that now seem too tight on his sore buns, and sitting on a harsh wooden chair! Poor Pipsqueak won't be late to class again anytime soon.

 Poor Pip has been getting a lot of attention lately. Not entirely planned that way. He and Button Mash were the only two of the boys their age who hadn't been punished in view of Silver Spoon, and Pip, unlike Button, had until now not been punished solo at school. As for the incident at the farm, I had long thought it would be appropriate for the English boy to get in that kind of trouble and face downhome American consequences; plus he wasn't used at all in 2023. I do promise to ease up on him for a bit going forward.

Let's take a moment and appreciate Miss Cheerilee's development. From one who struggled to maintain discipline in the classroom to the point of requiring administrative intervention and a very special (and painful) "seminar", she now has no problem putting an unruly boy over her knee and baring his backside for a dose of the same kind of Lexan paddle she was "trained" by.
